Pete Culpepper

Sometime ago I received an email from Pete stataing that he had written a book called Brownie, The Lonely Dragon. This book features four children who are orphans. The book was written by a child (Pete) when he was 13 years old. It was inspired by orphans who looked past their own concerns to help others. The completion of the book was inspired by a cancer survivor, a Make-A-Wish child. The Make-A-Wish Foundation honors all children with life threatening illnesses, including orphans.

Pete is also the founder of Help Kids Who Have Cancer. "The founders consist of a family whose elder daughter was diagnosed with cancer at the age of five. Their courage, determination, and faith helped them to beat the disease, through the grace of God." Now, they are giving back and helping others.

Although the Orphan Connection is dedicated to honoring orphans that are making a difference, it is also important to honor those who recognize that orphans are making a difference! That is what Pete is doing along with other children who have cancer. Cancer does not discriminate, nor should we. I am honored to include Pete and his book in the list of people who are making a difference.

Brownie The Lonely Dragon can be purchased through amazon.com.
